The Snake Soul Portrait fine art print is part of a series of 200 animal portraits created by artist Alexandros Georgiou during a live studio residency at the ΕΜΣΤ National Museum of Contemporary Art.
This series was developed for the exhibition Why Look at Animals? Justice for Non-Human Life.
Drawing on the tradition of classical portraiture, the artist aims to highlight each animal’s individuality, presence, and inner world.
In doing so, the artist moves beyond mere representation to evoke a deeper sense of encounter and empathy.
This edition was released in a limited edition of 10 copies, each individually numbered and signed by the artist, and created exclusively for ΕΜΣΤ.
