Portrait de Nestor is a work by Nikos Kessanlis, a renowned Greek artist and a pivotal figure of the 20th-century European avant-garde. 
Kessanlis is known for his radical break with traditional aesthetics, challenging the conventions of figurative painting and the dominant ideals of “Greekness” and “good taste” promoted by the 1930s Generation.
This silkscreen was produced in 1972 at the Paris studio of Kessanlis and fellow artist Chrysa Romanou. 
It is part of a historic series of 73 works by international artists associated with the Nouveaux Réalistes and Mec Art movements — a series that explored fragmentation, gesture, non-traditional materials, and the expressive power of chance and chaos.
