This stoneware clay dessert plate is part of the ceramic homeware collection inspired by the exhibition Why Look at Animals? A Case for the Rights of Non-Human Lives.

The major group exhibition highlights animal rights and the well-being of animals, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and defending the lives of non-human animals in a world that often marginalizes and harms them. The exhibition draws inspiration from John Berger's seminal text, "Why Look at Animals?" (1980), which explores the relationship between animals and humans in modern society and addresses the marginalization of animals.

The ceramic homeware collection embodies this message through tactile craftsmanship and natural materials, serving as both a functional object and a quiet reflection on coexistence.

Each piece is individually handmade, so natural variations in form and finish are to be expected.
